Hello and welcome back to the Summer term. I hope you enjoy browsing round to see what we've been doing.

Praents, I hope that you had a joyful and Holy Easter. I want to express my gratitude for all your kind words and good wishes. I was fortunate enough to visit Rome over Easter and arranged a Mass of thanksgiving at a Vatican church for the children, families and staff in our school.

I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped make the PTA Easter Tea afternoon such a success. We had 150 participants and raised a total of £363.50. More in PTA
We welcome Mrs. Nicola Rees to our staff. She will be teaching in Class 1 every Friday.
The builders have been busy in Class 3; bricking up a window, plastering and decorating inside and out. The children chose the wall colour and now have new display boards to fill with their lovely work.
The summer term promises many exciting new topics and learning opportunities so keep checking the school website, emails and book bags for information. All items of uniform must be clearly marked with your child’s name and, as the sun gets stronger, your child will need a named school hat to wear at playtime. There are a number of ‘once a day’ sun creams which can be applied in the morning before school. All P.E. kits should be returned as soon as possible. Much of our PE is outdoors so check plimsolls or send in an old pair of trainers to keep at school.

CAN WE MAKE IT 8? St Albans Fun Run- School Challenge! Sunday 14 June 2015 We would like to encourage as many school pupils as possible to take part in the ‘St Albans Half Marathon School Challenges’. The school with the highest percentage of its pupil’s entered will win a cash donation! See News for more information

Congratulations to our school lottery winners for April: 1st prize – Kate Baker; 2nd prize – Etienne Aubert; 3rd prize – Mary Collins.
Finally, please return your Mission Box to school as soon as possible!

Have a lovely weekend,

Bernadette Dempsey
