Hello and welcome to our website.
What a wonderful turn out last Sunday at the Fun Run! Thank you everyone, your attendance enabled us to win the shield again for the sixth year. Please put Sunday 8 June 2014 in your diaries for next year.
The children enjoyed hearing about St Alban today when Fr Austin from The Abbey visited in assembly. Do ask them what they remember about the story and how it was told. If you would like your child to take part in the Alban Pilgrimage please visit www.stalbanscathedral.org for the form (registration closes on June 17). The procession starts at 11.00 am from St Peter’s Church on Saturday 22 June.

Next week (Wed 19 June, 9.10am) we have planned a mass for Reception class parents. As Fr Charles will be attending the 40th Anniversary Mass at Juniors on the same day we may not have time for a Mass. If that is the case, we will have a Liturgy with the readings and hymns that had been planned for the Mass and this will be held at the same time as planned.
You may have heard in the press about the Phonics Screening Test. Next week Year 1 children will take part in this although we do not say it is a test, we have a ‘Phonics Quiz’ which sounds much more child friendly. We aim for a relaxed child so please do not discuss the test with them, the teachers will prepare them and make it a fun experience.
